Fine Artist/Performer
Richard J. Watson, an alumnus of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, in Philadelphia, is a multi- faceted artist who is widely recognized as a representational, and collage artist. He has to his credit many public and institutional murals throughout the city of Philadelphia. Liturgical murals within the chapel of the Church of the Advocate, at 18th and Diamond Sts. in North Philadelphia, the mosaic tile centerpiece at the Loews Hotel, Sole Restaurant and the official portrait of former Mayor of Philadelphia, W. Wilson Goode, in the Mayors Reception Room at City Hall, Philadelphia, are but a few of the genres of expression through which his talents are recognized.
